THE CONTINUUM STANDARD

THE CONTINUUM STANDARD

Seven principles for developing a human being who happens to be an athlete.

01

MEASURE THE WHOLE ATHLETE.

Four domains or none. A physical number without a cognitive one describes a machine, not a person.

02

PRESCRIBE FROM EVIDENCE.

The plan comes from the gap the measurement found, not from a template or a birth year.

03

CONNECT ACADEMICS AND ATHLETICS.

They are the same day, the same body and the same finite attention. Treating them separately is how both get worse.

04

DEVELOP AGAINST THE INDIVIDUAL.

Progress is measured against the athlete’s own baseline. A population average has never developed anybody.

05

RE-MEASURE.

An intervention that is never retested is a belief, not a method.

06

PRESERVE THE LONGITUDINAL RECORD.

The record outlives the season, the coach and the school. It belongs to the athlete.

07

NEVER CONFUSE OUTCOME WITH PROCESS.

Wins are noisy and late. Process is measurable now, and it is the only thing anyone can actually control.

THIS IS THE STANDARD WE HOLD OURSELVES TO.

We publish it so you can hold us to it too.
