THE ARGUMENT

Most female athletes are trained on male defaults.

The dominant models in athletic development were built on male physiology and scaled down. Training load, strength benchmarks, landing mechanics, and recovery windows were all normalized around male samples — then applied to female athletes with minor adjustments.

The differences are not minor. Maturation timing, force expression, knee valgus patterns, and recovery trajectories all diverge in ways that affect how an athlete should be loaded, rested, and progressed.

At Continuum, those differences are measured from the first baseline. What can be measured can be trained — precisely, individually, and continuously.

Landing mechanics are measured, not assumed. Knee valgus and asymmetry are tracked from the first baseline and trained continuously.

Training load is mapped to maturation stage, not birth year. Two fifteen-year-olds can need entirely different programs.

Female strength benchmarks, not scaled-down male ones. Expression differs by movement pattern, and the program reflects that.

Recovery windows built around her physiology, tracked against her own baseline rather than a population average.
